End of the School Year! image
Congratulations, you made it through the craziest high school/life experience I have ever witnessed (and you're doing it at 16/17 y/o).  All final grades posted today at 4:00PM.  If you have any questions or concerns over the break don't hesitate to email or request a Zoom meeting.

I know I don't have to tell you we are in the middle of history. You will talk about events that you're currently living and watching unfold with your grandkids. It's for that reason (and because it's your civic obligation as a member of our society) that I implore you to spend time listening to the issues and perspectives being voiced. Use the analytical tools you've been polishing in class (especially when establishing the credibility of a source) to truly reflect over our period of history. But most important, discuss these issues, your thoughts, and your perspectives with others. History has taught us that there are no easy answers with quick fixes. We cannot be expected to solve these issues, or even fully understand the situation, as individuals, but together, with deep conversation and multiple perspectives, the process can at least begin.

If you're interested in the origins of the Black Lives Matter movement, this is a succinct and credible timeline.
